Privacy Policy

The short version: BLOSOM AI doesn't need an account, doesn't collect your data, and keeps your game — and your chats with Pip, the on-device AI — on your device. Backups are files you control.

2. Who we are

This policy covers the BLOSOM AI mobile app for iOS and Android (the “App”) and this website (the “Site”), operated by the BLOSOM AI team (“we”, “us”). If you have any question about privacy, contact us at privacy@blosom.sbs.

3. What we collect

Nothing, in the App. BLOSOM AI is designed to be offline-first. The App does not require an account and does not send your personal information, your tasks, your habits, your game progress or your usage to us or to anyone else.

  • We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts or location.
  • We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking software development kits (SDKs) in the App.
  • We do not receive anything you type to Pip, the in-app AI companion. It runs on your device (see section 5).
  • We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we don't have it.

If you choose to email us, we will receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you and to fix the issue you report, and we delete support emails when they are no longer needed.

4. Data stored on your device

To make the game work, the App stores information locally on your device, for example: your character and customization, tasks, checklists and their schedules, XP, levels, coins, streaks, quests, inventory and collection, achievements, statistics, reminder times, your conversations with Pip, and settings (such as dark mode, sound and haptics).

This data stays on your device inside the App's private storage. It may be included in your device's own system backups (for example iCloud or Google device backups) if you have those turned on — those backups are governed by Apple's or Google's privacy policies, not ours.

Deleting the App deletes this local data. Because we never receive a copy, we cannot recover it for you unless you have your own backup.

5. On-device AI (Pip)

BLOSOM AI includes Pip, an AI companion that can turn what you type into tasks, suggest a plan for your day, break a goal into a checklist quest and offer encouragement. Pip runs entirely on your device and never needs an internet connection.

  • Where it runs: on supported iPhones (iOS 26 or later), Pip uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models, which process your request locally on the iPhone. On other devices, Pip uses a local engine built into the App. In both cases, your request never leaves the device.
  • Your conversations stay local: what you type to Pip, Pip's replies and your conversation history are stored only on your device, in the App's private storage. They are not sent to us, to Apple, to Google or to any other third party, and we cannot see them.
  • No training, no profiling: because we never receive your conversations, we don't use them to train AI models, for advertising, or to build a profile of you.
  • Your control: nothing Pip suggests is added to your tasks until you confirm it. Deleting the App deletes your conversations along with the rest of your local data.

6. Backups (.awana files)

You can export your game from Settings → Data → Export Backup. This creates a single file with the .awana extension that contains your saved game (player, tasks, quests, inventory, achievements and statistics).

  • The backup is created on your device and saved only where you choose — for example your files app, a computer or a cloud drive you use.
  • We never upload, receive or have access to your backup files.
  • Anyone with access to a backup file can read its contents, so store and share it as carefully as any personal file.
  • When you import a backup, the App asks you to confirm first, because importing may replace your current local progress.

7. Permissions

  • Notifications (optional): used only to show local reminders you set up — tasks, routines, streaks, quests and the daily challenge. They are scheduled on your device; no notification server is involved.
  • Files / share sheet (only when you use it): used to save or open a .awana backup that you pick.

The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, photos or location. Pip, the AI companion, needs no extra permissions.

8. Third parties

The App doesn't include third-party analytics or advertising. When you download BLOSOM AI, Apple's App Store or Google Play processes the download under their own privacy policies, and may show us aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as total downloads or crash counts) that do not identify you. You can manage crash-report sharing in your device settings.

9. This website

  • No cookies, no analytics, no trackers.
  • Local storage: the Site remembers your light/dark preference in your browser. If you use the waitlist form, your email is saved only in your browser's local storage on that device — it is not sent to us or anyone else. You can remove it with “Remove my email” or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
  • Fonts: the Site loads the Nunito and Plus Jakarta Sans fonts from Google Fonts. To deliver them, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser information as part of that request, under Google's privacy policy.
  • Hosting: like any website, our hosting provider may keep short-lived server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
  • Web preview: the “Try it in your browser” preview runs in your browser and stores its game data locally in your browser.

10. Children

BLOSOM AI is designed for teens and adults and is suitable for a general audience. Because the App doesn't collect personal information from anyone, it doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has emailed us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

11. Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Because BLOSOM AI keeps your data on your device, you can exercise most of these yourself:

  • Access & portability: export a .awana backup at any time.
  • Deletion: delete tasks or reset progress in the App, delete your backup files, or uninstall the App.
  • Email: ask us to delete any support emails at privacy@blosom.sbs.

You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

12. Security

Your data is protected by your device's own security (such as your passcode, biometrics and the operating system's app sandboxing). Keeping data on your device and not transmitting it greatly reduces risk, but no system is perfectly secure — keep your device and backup files protected.

13. Future optional features

We may one day offer optional online features such as a BLOSOM AI account, cloud backup or multi-device sync. These will always be optional, the core game will keep working offline without them, and we will update this policy and explain clearly what data they use before you turn anything on.

14. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for meaningful changes, let you know in the App's release notes or on this Site.
